Dermal fillers are a sterile gel that is injected under the skin to rejuvenate and enhance the shape of different areas of the face. They provide volume, lift and contouring for a desired cosmetic outcome. Here at Dr Bikram Clinics we use a Hyaluronic acid based dermal filler - a naturally occurring sugar found in your skin, which is both safe and reversible.
The use of dermal filler has become highly popular due to the instant results visible. They can improve firmness and fullness of skin and be used on a wide variety of facial structures i.e. chins/nose/cheeks and lips.

Dermal fillers are injected at varying depths depending on the location of treatment i.e. thin fillers superficially for lip enhancement, and dense fillers injected deep for cheeks and jawline contouring.

At Dr Bikram Clinics before any treatment is carried out a thorough medical consultation is undertaken to assess your suitability. You will have the opportunity to have any questions answered and discuss your treatment plan.
A topical numbing cream is offered to clients15 minutes prior to treatment to numb the site of injection, however some dermal fillers already contain a local anaesthetic. Images will be taken before and after treatment for indemnity purposes and your clinician will mark areas for injection after cleaning the skin.
Small needles are used for this procedure and it should take around 20 minutes, with the full effects visible after 14 days. After treatment an aftercare plan will be discussed and the results will last around 6-12 months.
